I am a licensed mental health counselor who works with couples, young adults, and adults. My approach is to help people stand aside from their usual way of thinking so that they can tell the difference between what is being experienced and felt in the current situation and what is potential residue from the past, such as trauma. By offering an environment of genuine acceptance without judgement, we can build a therapeutic alliance that allows you to take a position of examining patterns and habits that keep you stuck.
I offer EMDR to treat unresolved trauma and current trauma, am trained in The Gottman Method for couple’s therapy, and am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). These evidence-based therapy models enable people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of adverse life experiences. This can help those who want to overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief, loss and other circumstances that weigh us down.
